PAINT MIXING & STORAGE

Control Contamination and Remove Harmful Fumes During Paint Mixing. Paint mixing rooms are used to control contamination and remove harmful fumes during the paint mixing process. Paint Mix Rooms from Global Finishing Solutions®(GFS) are available in multiple configurations, and can be connected to paint booths for direct entry. All of our mix rooms feature a 4-inch, integrated spill containment for confining potential spills, eliminating the need for a curb.

Galvanized Paint Mix Rooms from Air Management Systems (AMS) provide a controlled area for safely mixing paint. Wall panels are fabricated from 18-gauge unpainted galvanized sheet steel, and are pre-punched and companion flanged for easy nut-and-bolt, on-site assembly. Our Mix Rooms also contain a convenient 4-inch deep, built-in containment base for potential spills.

Heavy-Duty Panels

AMS’ Industrial Paint Mix Rooms are constructed with single-skin, 18-gauge, G-90 galvanized steel.

Solid Construction

Pre-punched panels with nut-and-bolt assembly takes the guesswork out of installing a mix room, and provides more structural integrity.

ETL and ETL-C Listed

Standard galvanized Paint Mix Rooms from AMS are fully ETL and ETL-C listed to meet all applicable industry safety and performance requirements and facilitate successful inspections.

Airflow & Filtration

A proven ventilation system, fresh air flows continuously throughout the mix room to protect personnel from inhaling harmful vapors. Pulled from outside of the mix room, air flows through filters to remove dust and dirt contaminants. The continuously moving down flow of air inside the mix room forces harmful vapors into the exhaust plenum and away from the employees.

Safe Liquid Guidelines

Per NFPA 33, businesses may store up to 2 gallons of flammable or combustible liquid per square foot of enclosure floor area in a Paint Mix Room, with a maximum storage of:

  • 60 gallons for Paint Mix Rooms within 6 feet of the spray area (US)
  • 300 gallons for Paint Mix Rooms further than 6 feet from the spray area (US)

Semi-Downdraft Airflow

Air is drawn from outside of paint mix room and flows through filters to remove dust and dirt contaminates. The down flow of continuously moving air inside the enclosure forces harmful vapors safely down and through the exhaust plenum.

CODE COMPLIANCE

AMS guarantees that our products meet or exceed all of the applicable codes related to the equipment. Our engineers regularly follow and contribute to the advancement of codes and standards that affect the industries that we work in.
